Speaking of our use of less gruesome words in our speech instead of actual ones, do we shy away from the harsh reality that exists everywhere around us? Maybe our use of such words does not increase the pain of having lost somebody close (I'm using an expression here. I've read about death is this fashion, so perhaps these words enter my mind immediately) to an already grieving family, if not alleviate, at the least.
Dying and death are unpleasant. Totally. Nevertheless, that's a part of us. And a harsh one. We simply are weak.
