When we were brought up, i guess, that we were encouraged to try things just beyond our reach. Trying to obtain something better than that available within our grasp. And there's this pleasure attached with it that is immensely felt when one succeeds.

Weren't we all taught that, or isn't it imbibed in us? Somehow i feel that today's young tend to focus on the easier aspects of life, even tough they are provided with opportunities. That's quite bad. We know this family where the two sons are brilliant. And they've settled for some ordinary job. They refuse to go further in their education. Every time after meeting them, we at home discuss this. I'm taken aback, really.

Education is the treasure that you one can provide oneself with. According to me, nothing can compensate education, be it in any field. It's despairing to see such intelligent bright minds not seek better things. And there are others who want to further their knowledge but they simply don't have the means to do so.
