We are so rooted to our background (by 'background', i mean everything related to a particular person). I being a Kannadiga am so proud of my language, my food, my traditions, my lifestyle, my people. It's an obligation. (There are various factions within Kannadigas who lead different ways of living. Quite different from the way we lead our's.) Nevertheless, we talk about how great it is to be one of our own tribe. Neglecting and scorning others'.

Isn't it that a second person from a different setup feels the same? This is quite embedded in us. We tend to think that 'we' are great. It's natural, i think. Be it a Marathi, a Bengali, a Tamil. But, aren't some harmed in this process?
