We used to have a small dairy near our house which was closed a couple of years ago. Cows roamed quite freely on our roads, leaving piles of cow dung at random places. Every Sankranti, we used to visit the place and offer the cows there sugarcane, bananas, steamed groundnuts and sweet potatoes.
