Mrs. Rozario

Mrs. Rozario was our English teacher in Std. 9.

She is fair...pink in the face....short..pretty and petite one could say. She taught Shakespeare beautifully...each class was so much fun. To top it.....she knew Greek mythology...like the back of her hand.....even though the names are very confusing.

Her sarees were fabulous.....we used to marvel over each one, almost ith the eyeballs bulging out of it's socket....in stark contrast to Mrs. Frandson (Frandy dear who always wore purple....obviously to represent Fisher!!!)

Always lost......engrossing our in Greek tales...talking about the double headed Janus......Julius Ceaser.....and she ventured to show us her gold chain....on which was embossed with the face of an angel.

We had to sing a song for the christmas day progarmme.......borrowing a yellow saree from her was fun....Sherin also did do that. Her smile always was heart-warming making.

The comments of appreciation that she passed.....were warm.....she also told me that my lunch-bag was nice though some of my friends ridiculed it. I remember telling that she said so to evereybody untill they were tired of it!!!!

A special moment to be cherished.......it was her birthday.....we wanted to wish her and all that.....i do not remember the day or the date......we had English with Mrs. Vincent in the first period. We went upto her....with her permission decided to go call Mrs. Rozario to our class. I had to do that job.....I went to the respective class with the pretext that the former wanted to see the latter ....called her....ran back to my class. Realising that the ruse hadn't worked. I called her again. This time I made sure that she came with me. As soon as I entered class...we burst into a loud 'Happy Birthday' song. The noise pulled the other teachers from their classrooms too!!

Turning into a deep pink.......with a grin like that of a cheshire cat (with Subhashree's permission)...was she caught by surprise. I guess we had given her a wonderful birthday present...one that would bring joy to our hearts. At the end of it........was laughter and happiness.

The graduation day was beautiful....the night lit with hundreds of lamps......decorated by pots painted by us. It was indeed a sad day.....she was there....wishing us a success for all our lives to come.
