Today as i was putting things in order for my art class, i realised that both my palettes were smeared with oil paints. I needed one for today.

And again, i sat down with a rag and a small bottle of kerosene. (I promise myself that i should clean them right after their usage, every time, but i never do that.) And scrubbed hard for a long time. I don't know if this is the actual method that's to be followed for this purpose. But i follow the above-mentioned method. And in the following hour, i change my seating position every ten minutes. The least amount of time i take to clean a palette is one hour.

One palette really shone (after the amount of kerosene that i used). I stared at the other. Worked at it a few times. The colours didn't seemed to budge from the wooden surface and i gave up. I had one clean and that was sufficient for the day.

I know i'll not look at the dirty palette for the next few weeks. Until i have to necessarily put myself into the arduous task again.
