People generally say that they are 'modern'. It is a cliched word, isn't it? They usually mention it during the preliminary introductions, and everybody is happy. But modernity is not limited to one's dressing sense alone (this is what i've observed most times). It's something more than that. I think pride is involved when one utters this word. But, the meaning is hardly thought about.

More than the word 'modern', i would like the term 'broad-minded'. This phrase carries some sensible depth in it.

But ofcourse not all 'modern' people are 'broad- minded'. People use it for their advantage and the definition for modernity keeps changing for them.
