In The Admission of Guilt, the author Lalithambika Antanrajanam describes a trial of a Namboodhiri widow accused of adultery. This short story is poignant in the true sense of the word.

The woman defends her actions, refuses to name the partner and is ready to face the punishment as awarded by the (traditional) village council. A very bold piece of writing, i must say.
