We have kids coming to the art class where i'm enrolled. Parents who come to drop their children stay over to make sure that their kids settle well. They don't so just that. They also supervise their child's colouring. I've seen a mother sitting beside her son who directs her son to apply specific colours. If that is the case, why send the boy to drawing classes?

The child should approach the teacher so appointed for the job, and if he is hesitant could be encouraged to do so. Than act as the teacher himself or herself.
