In my opinion cooking is a skill which requires some practice.
I guess i can say that i know the basics of Indian cooking(?). And i tweak with the masale to obtain different tastes. What i don't know is the preparation of dose, idly batter and some indian sweets. There have been a few unpleasant experiences but most times the result has been edible.
And taking today's dish into account, it's twice that i prepared inedible food. And though the styles were totally different, today's taste reminded of that day's taste. Tondekaayi cooked in pav bhaaji masale tastes horrible.
