When i left India, mother commented that i would hardly be religious, than i usually am.

At times, when i think of it, i'm glad that i'm brought up the way we were brought up. Hardly any visits to temples, no rules as such like putting a dot on my forehead, worshiping the gods, i eat some of the prasada before it is offered to the gods, eating meat any day even though it's not allowed.

Now, i don't know if i would term myself less religious or not. But yes, at home, there is this weekly puja that i take part in. As sister says, only to help mother, not out of bhakti.

I was talking to a friend the other day, and i told her. One can be a Hindu and not be spiritual or religious in a sense of the word. But, yes i do like the festivities associated with it.
