As one gets into Marienplatz or Odeonsplatz, one immediately realizes that one is in Europe. Not that there aren't other indicators. But these two places still carry the old charm. Old buildings, sculptures, cobbled roads which are restricted to motored vehicles, music being played in front of a store.

Marienplatz has big stores, and as one walks towards Odeonsplatz, one can notice various brands. Odeonsplatz is statues, carved doors, an old church, German police on horses at the entrance of Hofsgarten and tourists.

Nice.
